In order to prevent automatic registrations from spam-bots we have taken counteractions as follows:

1)
the denial of registration from certain domain extensions that are a major source of
spambots such .ru, .br, .biz, or freebase addresses such as "gawab.com"

2)
adding a security question to the registration form.

Furthermore the registration procedere has been switched to "Administrator Approval"
The relation between valid members and spammers still has been 50:50. (over a period of 4 days)

This means that intervention by the webmaster is urgently necessary to get technical support from IPB.

I neither have the time nor do I feel up to checking each and every "validating" before approval.

Effective from one week from now I will reset to "Email Validation" letting things slide.
