An inscribed limestone block might have solved one of history's greatest mysteries -- who fathered the boy pharaoh King Tut.
"We can now say that Tutankhamun was the child of Akhenaten," Zahi Hawass, chief of Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities, told Discovery News.

Interesting article, Joerg.

There is also a quartzite relief fragment; discovered by Petrie, at Amarna, which refers to, "the King's son of his body, Tutankhuaten,whom he loves".

This fragment was thought to have been lost, or stolen, but turned up at Bolton Museum, about 10 years ago, having been intended to be donated to Boston's museum, when the person packing it up got the label wrong.

Bit of a case of OOPS! :rolleyes:
