Hello everybody, just got back from the 4 nights n 5 days Egypt tour organised by the travel agent called gotravelegypt.com.

Airport : On arrival everything was fine except I was not happy with the lack of communication within the airport workers there. I have checked out with the tour company/embassy that I do not need an entry visa to enter Egypt. Once my friend and I landed safely, my friend who's from London has paid her entry visa without a problem when it comes to me the lady (staff) was saying that I needed to pay as well. Eventhough, I have mentioned to her but she seems ignoring it and asking me to pay £10 instead. All I could say 'what??'...Anyway, when I get into the passport check, the man was asking 'why did I pay for my visa'??..I told him that lady who was the one who asked me to pay so!! I stated that you have to communicate within your staff to get things right! I got my refund back, thank you!! So check before you travel!!

Tour: to make it short...Overall tour was great!! Our hotel in Cairo was good and the tour to Pyramids, Memphis was great with our excellent an egyptologist...we thought the first day tour was well planned with good timing and we have covered the whole tour within the first day in our itinerary....

2nd-4th days tour : We travelled with sleepers train from Cairo-Aswan-Luxor-Cairo for the rest of our tour....The experiences of using sleepers train was exciting and fun eventhough we did not sleep well due to the noise from the train....We were told to arrive at Aswan roughly 6-7am but the train was kinda delayed so ended up arrived after 8am. Anyway, our tour guide was there waiting for us (good sign) and brought us to check in into the hotel within a minute walk (good location) but we were kinda upset as the hotel was not what we would have expected...We rated the hotel below average!! We were told that we were given a room with a great view but when we get into the hotel the room was in a low standard (mainly for backpackers) with a back building view, car park site!! Anyway, due to the long journey and we were exhausted we can't be bothered to make any complaints. Our tour guide is a nice friendly person but we are not happy of him rushing around with the whole tour....as if he was chasing of something!! I did tell him not to rush as this is our holiday and we do need to enjoy the view and the sightseeing but he was kinda what goes in his ear then goes out the other ear....

Aswan tour: Our tour in Aswan was great but due to our tour guide likes rushing around and we ended up finishing the tour about 4pm!! which is ridiculous!! We have plenty time to sit our butt in the hotel and thinking what we should do next...he (tour guide) started offering an optional tour for the rest of the afternoon and evening...so we thought of going for the sound and light show at the temple of Philae with the costs of EGY pound 190???? We thought it was too much just for that tour....What you guys think about that??? I did ask for a any reduction etc but he said I have already reduced that from 192 to 190....we thought he just want our money out of it!! So check it out beforehand!!

Luxor: Unfortunately my mate not well as stomach problem but tour continues as it is with a complimentary hotel for a couple of hours to rest ( one of the good point) but saying that we still get on with the rest of our tour visiting the rest of the temples....as he was rushing again made it more complicated to my friend as she was exhausted and not well at all! we were really frustrated so I ended up wondering and taking picture on my own.....Luckily it was our last day of the tour! watch out what u eat!!

Overall: The tour to Egypt was fascinating, exciting, fun and great experience.....it just magnificent!! Our rate to this travel agent is good & recommended. All they need is to provide better hotel in Aswan and the tour guide should do his job professionally without rushing around.....No comments to the tour in Cairo and our egyptologist is an excellent man!!

The costs of this tour roughly £334 (english pounds)...We were unsure still if it was cheaper from other travel agencies but I have found out another travel agency that provides 8days tour with the costs of £319 english pounds??? So I might be wrong....Check it out pls!!

p/s This tour is a tiring tour as it is a short tour - so you have to be prepared to get up early and cope with it biggrin.gif....Also bring more extra money for the tipping as giving the tips in Egypt is like drinking water!! Thank you.....Enjoy! smile.gif
