Of course, I have obviously traveled about with a number of different tour operators, and because of who I am, it is a bit difficult to say how a tour operator would be with a bit more typical tourist. However, last time I took staff members to Egypt and actually did a full blown tour I used Misr Travel. I have to say it came off without a hitch. Misr Travel is actually the state owned tour company of Egypt, and a very large one with offices in New York. They are not know to be the most upscale tour operator, but I found a very good level of service considering that we did not pay a fortune for the tour.
