This may sound like a very strange topic, but I am desperately seeking some guidance.
I have decided that I would like to get the eye of Horus tattooed on my left wrist for protection and goodluck. I know this may sound strange. My concern is that this somehow doing this may bring me bad luck because of where it is placed or anything like that. I am rather superstitious and am worried that somewhere they may be a myth saying that something like that will bring me bad luck instead of goodluck. If anyone has any ideas or whatnot that they would like to share please e mail me at actingcat@msn.com. Any input is appreciated.
Thank you.

This topic is not so strange at all. Throughout all of our history that we have knowledge of, humans have been searching out the best ways to cultivate secure, protective relations with the deities. You're just continuing an ancient and quite venerable tradition.

I don't think, though, that the idea of a tattoo is very wise, not for any superstitious reasons but because tattoos (maybe a good idea at the time) can get to be messy encumbrances as we make our ways through life. You should maybe take a cue from the ancient Egyptians and consider amulets, if you truly feel the need for a physical expression of your relations with your deities. Amulets are neat, because they can co-evolve with your growing insight into divinity. A tattoo, on the other hand, doesn't lend itself well to evolution.

Cheers,

Lune

I agree with LuneKeltkar, you don't have to put any stain in your skin for you to be able to protect your self from any harm. I think the best way for you to be safe to have faith with God. Tattoos are for skin art only, however i have a sample of Eye of Horus:
